Este r\u00e9cord de envejecimiento\u00a0demuestra\u00a0la importancia\u00a0 de la poblaci\u00f3n activa mayor de 50 a\u00f1os para la competitividad empresarial y del pa\u00eds. Francisco Mesonero, director general de la Fundaci\u00f3n Adecco, enfatiza que \u00abla discriminaci\u00f3n laboral por edad contradice los esfuerzos de adaptaci\u00f3n a la realidad demogr\u00e1fica y limita la contribuci\u00f3n de una fuerza laboral que ya constituye el 34% de la poblaci\u00f3n activa\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La sostenibilidad del Estado del Bienestar depender\u00e1 de la generaci\u00f3n de empleo de calidad para ampliar la base de cotizantes.
